Nate Diaz is generally a man of few words at the best of times.

Although this past week Nate made an unlikely appearance on Theo Vons podcast. The Stockton native was very vocal on a whole host of topics surrounding combat sports. Theo pressed him on different fighters, situations and we got a rare glimpse into Diaz’s recent thoughts. To be honest I found him absolutely hilarious and he has triggered the MMA community.

Countless fighters this week have tweeted or posted about the podcast from Darren Till to Daniel Cormier and they all have different opinions. Darren Till questioned were Diaz sits in the grand scheme of things in the UFC and combat sports. Daniel Cormier who Diaz spoke about on the podcast was none to pleased about what Nate was saying also.

Its safe to say that feathers have been rustled and Diaz has the MMA community talking about him even though he hasn’t competed in some time. The fight with Mike Perry is interesting but it by no means the best fighting the best. That said we will all tune in and watch … after all its on Netflix.

Nate did mention one thing that stuck with me. H spoke about the UFC offering him more money to compete than Netflix. The only hitch was they just wanted him to fight McGregor, that did not interest Nate. This was my take on what he said below.
